Dryer sheets are beyond laundry purposes. There are many other household tips that these versatile sheets can be used for in your home. After using your dryer sheets for your laundry, try not to toss them out, as they can save you at least twenty dollars on your next shopping list.
Your dryer sheets can be used in place of paper towels, which cost us a fortune each time we go shopping. Here are some interesting ways that you can use dryer sheets in your home.
1. CLEAN OVEN RACKS
To clean and degrease your oven racks. Place the racks in your bathtub and fill it with water. Place the racks in them with a few dryer sheets. Pour a little dish into the tub.
Allow this to soak overnight. In the morning, wash with a regular scrubbing sponge to remove the loose grease. Set aside to dry before placing it back in the oven.
2. FRESHEN DRESSER DRAWERS
Drawers can at times carry a musky odor, even though there is nothing dirty in them. However, there is a way you can make your drawers smell amazing again.
Keep your musky-smelling drawers smelling great by placing 1 or 2 dryer sheets in each drawer. Your drawers will smell awesome. Roaches hate the smell of dryer sheets, so that’s another plus for this spectacular product.
3. REMOVE CALCIUM AND HARD WATER STAINS
Use an old dryer sheet to clean water marks and calcium buildup off your bathroom and kitchen faucets. Simply wipe the faucets with the sheet until you can see yourself through the faucet.

Fill your bathtub with warm water. Place the oven racks in it, then add 1/4 cup of Dawn dish soap.
Add these 7-8 dryer sheets and let them sit overnight. In the morning, use the dryer sheets to scrub the racks, then rinse away the loose residue.
Another way to get this done if the grease is not hard is to simply add a touch of Dawn dish soap to the dryer sheet and wipe the rack right there in the kitchen. These two powerful products will remove that grease in a flash.
5. REMOVE URINE RINGS
Urine rings are those yellow rings in your toilet bowl and they are really nasty-looking. Toss a dryer sheet in the bowl, then use a toilet brush to scrub it away.

6. DUST CEILING FANS
A few used dryer sheets can clean ceiling fans really well. Simply wrap a few dryer sheets around a long-handled paint roller or simply climb on a ladder or a chair to get to that dusty fan.
By the way, did you know that a dusty fan can actually irritate your allergies and even cause an asthma attack? So cleaning your fan in the summer regularly is very important. Use a couple of rubber bands to hold the dryer sheets onto the handle and proceed to dust.
7. REFRESH SHOES
The problem of bad-smelling shoes can be solved using only dryer sheets. Refresh your stinky shoes by placing new dryer sheets in each shoe overnight.
In the morning, your shoes will smell amazing. If you have males living in your home, you may want to tell them about this. Use the unused dryer sheets when doing this hack. Your home will thank you for this hack.
8. SHARPEN SCISSORS
This may sound a little off, but are your scissors getting dull? If it is, they just need to be sharpened. Use your dull scissors to cut through a few dryer sheets to sharpen them.
