This may sound cliche, but it is said that using PEPSI to clean your toilet will dissolve rust. Here is the weird way to do it. Pour an entire can of PEPSI into the bowl. Let it sit for an hour.

 

This will allow the acid to dissolve the stains. Use a toilet brush to scrub the bowl then flush. YOU WON’T BELIEVE YOUR OWN EYES!

 

 2*PLASTIC SODA BOTTLE

 

If your toilet is the older model, then it may be missing the features that save on the amount of water it uses to flush. This is not so cool when you are trying to cut back on spending. To make your toilet saves on wastewater, here is how.

 

Using an empty one-liter plastic bottle, pour in an inch- or two of sand, then add water to fill up the bottle. Replace the lid and place the bottle in your tank, away from the mechanisms. This will reduce the amount of water used each time it flushes.

 

3* REDUCE CONDENSATION WITH BUBBLE WRAPS

 

Did you know that a thing like bubble wrap can prevent your toilet tank from sweating? Let us see how it is done. The first thing you need to do is to remove the tank lid.

 

Flush to let the water out. When the tank is empty, go ahead and line the inside with a layer of bubble wrap. This extra layer of insulation will prevent the tank from sweating. Keep those delivery package bubble wraps.

 

4* BOILING WATER UNCLOGS TOILET PIPES

 

You can unclog your toilet pipes without the use of any chemicals and I am not talking about plunging the toilet. Fill a medium pot with water, allow it to come to a boil.

It will be a good practice to keep a bottle of baby oil close to all your faucets. The reason for this is to prevent dry-up watermarks that only make your faucets look old and run-down. It works wonders too on showerheads and shower tiles.

This hack got me on my feet, however, I was curious to see this happen, so were my kids. Immediately after emptying the Kool-Aide packet in the toilet bowl, I was surprised to smell the sweet aroma that was rising from my smelly toilet.
