I chose to describe it that way because this delicious meal is made from the things I manage to find in my kitchen. Not only is this stew tasty and nutritious it will cost you no extra spending at the supermarket. Let’s get you started into making this stew that your family will enjoy so much.
COUNTRY KITCHEN CORN STEW, FRUGALLY DELICIOUS
YOU WILL NEED
2 cups All-Purpose Flour
1/4 cup yellow cornmeal
1/2 lb Sliced Ham
2 Corns [cut]
1 Pack Ramen Noodles
4 peeled Potatoes – each cut in 3 pieces
2 medium carrots [cut]
1 Large Onion [whole] Remove the shell
1 tbsp Apolo seasoning
1 cube diced garlic or powder
Stew Pot
[Salt optional]
COOKING TIME:30-35 MINUTES
INSTRUCTIONS
Add water to the pot bringing it to 1/2. then while this is on the stove. Using a medium-size mixing bowl pour in the flour then add the cornmeal. To that, add a pinch of salt and knead using room temperature water. Bring the dough to the texture of bread dough.
Put the dough aside and get started on the other ingredients. By now the water is ready for the ham so go ahead and add the ham to the boiling water and allow to boil for 10 minutes then add the corns. Use the dough to make tiny shaped dumplings. Add these to the pot as you make them.
Stir the now broth. Let this boil for 5 minutes then add all the other ingredients together except for the noodles. Cut the onion in 2 and add to the broth and continue to fold in all the ingredients. Allow this to come to a boil for 10- 15 minutes. Break the noodles in small bits and add to the stew. Stir and allow to simmer for 3 more minutes.
