I have read so many articles on how to clean a bathtub. Do they work? I really can’t say they do. I am always looking for the best and least complicated cleaning hacks, especially for my bathroom and so far my search was in -vain. Here is a baking soda bathtub cleaner that actually works.

Looking at all my cleaning products I realized that I only need a few products to clean my bathtub. I could not believe that a bathtub was so easy to clean especially on my lazy day.

I am sure you have your days when you need to clean that bathtub but you just can’t be bothered with all those mixtures. Here is a clever way to clean your bathtub with a couple of mist and a simple broom. You won’t even realize you did it.

LET’S GET STARTED…

  1. Place a spray sprout on your VINEGAR bottle. Spray the entire shower walls and tub with vinegar. Ensure to spray the corners of the tub where mildew likes to appear. Focus on the lower corners of the tub this is the area you’ll find the soap scum.

TAKE A BREAK…

Walk away, go watch a movie, play a game, or have a snack. When you are through return to the bathroom only this time taking an MR CLEAN MAGIC ERASER, and a bottle of DAWN DISH SOAP. Preferably the DAWN POWER WASH SPRAY (APPLE CENT) and a broom with you.

For best results wait 30 minutes to an hour before rinsing. When cleaning a shower or bathtub give the cleaners time to work into the gunk. This will give you a clean bathtub when you are through.

Next, wet the eraser, then add a few drops of dish soap and use it to wipe the shower tiles and the tub starting from the top down. You will be surprised at the gunk you’ll see coming from the tiles and tub.

2. DIY Baking Soda Bathtub Cleaner

Baking soda can be used to replace vinegar. Most people don’t like the smell of vinegar so instead using a strong cleaner with a milder scent like baking soda will work.

  1. Splash or spray warm water in the bathtub
  2. Next, sprinkle the baking soda on the wet sponge with a few drops of Dawn dish soap
  3. ladder the tub, and the tiles with the baking soda. It should look like a paste
  4. Let the paste sit for 30 minutes
  5. Crub with a clean Mr. Clean Magic Eraser
  6. Rinse the tub and tiles with warm water
  7. Dry with an absorbent towel

For a more vigorous scrub and if you simply hate bending use a clean broom to scrub the tub. This will remove the stubborn marks but first use the dish soap to pour on the floor, don’t overdo- it as this will cause excess sud to form.

TO TAKE A SHOWER…

On a Lazy Liza’s day, you want to do two things in one. Step into the shower and run the water on warm. This is the time you rinse the tub while taking a shower. Yep, take a shower and wash the tub at the same time.

3. USING A BROOM

Have your cleaning rag and a broom with you. The broom to scrub the floor of the tub and the rag to wipe the corners of the tub. Not only will the broom works as a brush, but for those who can’t bend, or just hate to bend the broom will be the perfect thing for you.

Before you get out, squeeze the cleaning rag dry then use it to wipe away the water from the walls and floor of the tub and your job is over. To make the walls shiny, mist with WD-40 and use a lint cloth to shine.

That’s Lazy Liza’s tip on the fastest, easiest, and laziest way to clean a bathtub and have your bathing area looking as if you spent a whole day cleaning it. We hope this tip was helpful. Have fun cleaning, and see you soon!
